Hello,
I already have a wireless PtP link between my office and home (about 5.5km), the antennas are properly aligned.
I need to replace my existing Planet WNAP-6300 http://www.planet.com.tw/en/product/pro ... p?id=33306 wireless bridge because it is not reliable and self reboots every several hours.
I need a MikroTik solution for a High power (>= 1W) point to point wireless bridge that must be connected to my existing 24dbi Conifer Antennas.
I am considering the RB711-2HnD because it is rated for 30dbm, the problem however, is that it has two chains and needs two antennas, I think.
I could connect an indoor antenna (ACSWIM) to one chain and the External Antenna to the other chain, at least to keep a 50 Ohm load on the unused chain.
If the above idea is sound, would I still get 30dbm out of one chain?
Which chain (0 or 1) can be used for both TX and RX simultaneously?
The RBMetal5SHPn is great, but it is designed for 5GHz band, I don't think it would work with my existing 2.4GHz Antenna. Does it?
Does any one know of a better solution?
BTW: Is there a full User's Manual for the RB711-2HnD? because I could only find the Quick Guide!
Thanks
