On the other hand, I'm quite happy with themHey guys,
Yea, there is something definitely very wrong with these 2G Metal Grooves. I have this same problem. As usual Mikrotik will first assume we have no idea what we are doing and suggest normal troubleshooting steps first and waste a good couple of days ignoring the problem.

do you use the Metal for indoor or outdoorThanks Steven for help us but i didn't think the problem from antenna coz some peoples try another types from antenna and the same problem . if u have time come and see with team viewer what's the problems
btw i have PC and make it AP it working very good in the same place , but the Metal will make me Crazy
btw signal in Access client is 67dbworking perfect indoors but outdoors not working the client access is disconnected and some time connect again after that disconnected again try every thing the same problems
/interface wireless export
Is this a PtP or a PtMP./interface wireless

unicast-ciphers=""
I can see where in a PtP setup it would work well. With just one client, setting the ack/distance manually or enabling nv2 would resolve the problem. I believe the problem lies with how the device is calculating the ack setting dynamically.
i make it Ap bridge not station (( mode=ap-bridge ))Is this a PtP or a PtMP./interface wireless

What equipment do you use as station?

Steven
The S simply means it is currently a slave port in a bridge.
This is new in v6, if that coincides with your problem, then try downgrading to a v5 version.
NOTE: I downgraded a metal from 6.0rc11 to 5.1 and it never came back and I no longer have access to it.
sorry Adam for what happen to your grove
try this : http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:Netinstall
and this : http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Flashfig
The Metal doesn't support RouterOS v5.1 - this version came out before we made the Metal. Please follow this procedure to reinstall the RouterOS to a newer version. You can use v5.24 or v6.0rc11 http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:NetinstallThe S simply means it is currently a slave port in a bridge.

So you are saying that only few wireless clients are experiencing problems with wireless disconnections - the rest of the wireless clients continue to work fine? How far are those problematic wireless clients? This topic hasn't seen any replies in a few months, but I have exactly the same problems.
I have a Metal placed a month ago and I saw the problem from the first day. I thought it maybe something from the antenna or similar at that location.
But today I placed another Metal in a completely different location and it has exactly the same problem.
Both Metals are replacing very old rb133 boards. Signals are all very good ranging from -50 to -65dB. This is an outdoor installation and clients are 1km to 3km from base.
I have a group of clients who don't disconnect and can have uptime of 10days+ and another group of clients that disconnect at the same time with "class 3 frame"
The disconnecting clients are mostly tp-link outdoor devices. All tp-links have their firmware updated to latest version and Metals are with latest v6.7 router os.
