Help with Routing to Wnable LAN Print @ Remote PC's

Thu Mar 14, 2013 6:50 am

Hello MT forum...

A client in a remote location asked me to provide a networking solution from their main office location out to 4 other remote satellite offices.
I now need to establish routes to enable the remote PC's to print to the Konica Minolta 650 located within the main office.

The AP is configured as WDS using a bridge and NAT and the CPE's are set as Station utilizing identical wireless config and security as the AP.
I have established routes at each CPE so far which enables me to ping the Konica successfully from within all of the CPE's while logged in VIA cli OR winbox.
Destination: 192.168.88.7 Gateway: 10.0.0.1 Pref Source: wlan IP (of CPE)

I am stuck on how to complete the route from ath1 to eth1 interface allowing all remote PC's the same access to the Konica.

LAN Network: 192.168.88.x (remote LAN included)
WLAN Network: 10.0.0.x

Thanking anyone in advance for their input and help.

Please show us for two of the remote sites, and the main office:
/interface print

/ip route export compact

/ip firewall export compact
I don't understand how this would work with a routed network using the same /24 at each remote site, which is how I interpret your diagram.

I would expect each remote office and the main office to have it's own /24 on their respective LANs. I would expect routes so each location's router knows how to get to the others, or at least to the main office, and that the main office's router would know how to get back to each office.

lambert, thank you very much for the reply.

I follow you. I will configure each LAN on each CPE to utilize a different IP network and then establish routes at each router to each network and then on the core router alike.

Once I get back to the site I will pull the data you requested also should I still have issue.

Thank you

Best Regards

I renumbered the CPE LAN's and applied routes across all of the networks. The remote PC's are now able to see the Konica printer within the main office also.

Thank you very much lambert for your help

No problem, sometimes it just takes a fresh set of eyes.
