Hi folks. I've now had two people from two very different sources recommend the Routerboard product. I believe my requirements are basic yet my product search comes up with little to choose from. I just returned a Cisco RV180 because the LAN ports kept dying. A pretty extensive search found a lot of problems with the RV180.
Ok, so what. So here's what I'm looking for: a router that will support VLANs while supporting inter VLAN routing. Basically, I have 3 VLANs: Private Network; IP cameras/NVR; public wifi. I'm looking to use port based VLANs because i have consolidated my home runs in different parts of the restaurant-it's an old building. Basically, I thought I go from the router directly to 3 separate (dumb) switches colocated with the router. From there, I can connect device to the switches as well as bridge to corresponding switches in my second consolidation point. Does Routerboard make a product that will support this? Thanks
