PtP 5.8 Bridge and MAS90

Mon May 08, 2006 3:42 am

Greetings
I have a PtP 5.8 link that is solid at 36 Mbps. I have one program MAS90 that runs dog slow across the PtP bridge. Any help would be appreciated.

Specs:
CM9 Cards, Both set to bridge at 5805 and one -70 the other -80 signal.
2K AD connections for DHCP, DNS, File and Printer server just fine.
MAS90, Best Software accounting package very slow.

Thank you in advance.

MAS90 runs slow even on 100 Megabit Fast Ethernet, and you want to run it on 36 Megabits, half duplex? Which equates to 18 megabits? Which is 5 times slower than Fast Ethernet?

If you are already running Windows 2000 server, why are you not using Terminal Services?

As e2346437 suggests, there might be a better way to skin this cat, though it's odd and intriguing that your app should be so dog-slow. VNC will run blindingly fast over 36mbps...
