Getting ERROR:Lost connection when applying changes

Thu Sep 05, 2013 3:46 am

Hello there,
Well just got RB250GS with SwOS on it. Not bad, although something odd is happening whenever I apply any changes (as in clicking Apply anywhere.)
ERROR:Lost connection is constantly displayed. Funny thing is, I don't actually loss connection.
I've just upgraded to 1.9 since my device came with 1.8 installed. Figured such a small and annoying bug would be fixed.
Only a few hosts in MAC table. Up-time is under 20 minutes.

Am I the only one with this little issue?

Searched the forum, but nothing seemed to correspond with my little problem.

Guess I'm the only one that has this annoying problem then.
Great...

Hi,

in earlier firmwares, this may have been the case, i think it was never really fixed only "workarounded" by setting timeout higher.

I suggest, you contact the mikrotik guys through email directly and if you get something good back, please do not forget to post here also that ,)

I suppose I can try either downgrading/upgrading back to 1.9.
Re-installing SwitchOS...
Will contact support after I've done so... Thanks for the tip.

I just ordered a router from MikroTik, hope this kind of luck doesn't continue.

(Oh and the 'no link' tick doesn't do much. Port is still very much active)

I hope you get a good and helpful response.

Normally, ROS. It has bugs as any other software has to, but you should not have that bad luck again, i think ;)

I'll get to it once I get a replacement for my newly delivered and broken router...
