MikroTik RB1000U Power Supply

Mon Oct 14, 2013 2:17 pm

Hi,

I believe that the power supply in one of our RB1000U routers is faulty due to random shutdowns of the router which require a power-cycle to get the router back into service.

Which MikroTik distributors are able to supply replacement power supplies (we are based in the UK) ?

honzam,

Thanks for your reply.

This makes perfect sense; so now I have to pull this router from co-lo in order to perform surgery to it :-(

After fixing countless RB750s, I guess I should have figured that the RB1000s we had would eventually be plagued with the same issue.

Why can't MikroTik simply ship non-broken capacitors ?

The system works fine when running the memory tester in RouterBOOT and does not fall over; it seems to only be when the router is subject to high traffic loads which implies higher power consumption (CPU, etc).
