Wireless repeater

Wed Oct 30, 2013 4:41 pm

Hi,

I wonder how can I use SXT lite as it only has one antenna as wireless repeater?

I already purchased license 4 that allows me to create WDS and Virtual AP.

But I don't know what "wireless mode" should I use to work, according to wiki, repeater should be working as AP-Bridge, but as soon as I set it like that, it loses coNnection with main AP, and if I'm not mistaken, even setting Virtual AP, its not gonna work, as its default configuration is

Setup is attached.

You buy another sxt for client 1 location and you separate the two units there by enough space to avoid interference.

Can client 1 and client 2 be setup as station bridge or am I missing something?

I use a similar setup with 5shp's. AP bridge, station bridge, station bridge. I'm not doing anything with virtual AP. Maybe this will help...?

Good point!! The distances I'm using are shorter than yours. Assuming the stations don't talk to each other would a mesh setup work? Maybe all the units would have to be ap bridge. I'm have a lot to learn with networking, maybe someone else will chime in.

You are probably right, but what wireless mode do I need to configure on the clients?
