which ports are used by tunnels

Mon May 20, 2013 4:52 pm

Hi. I have two Mikrotik routers in two different locations. They are behind a Cisco firewall and all ports (TCP and UDP) are closed on firewall. I want to open the required ports for a tunnel (IPIP or EoIP); Does anyone know what are these ports that I should open? Thanks

IPIP uses ip-encap protocol (4), EoIP uses GRE protocol (47)

so, if you're blocking only tcp (6) and udp (17), then it won't affect those tunnels

IPIP uses ip-encap protocol (4)
Hi Chupaka, I've been wrestling with this for 5 days now. I hope that you can help me out. How do I tell CISCO router to forward ip-encap protocol to my Mikrotik inside the network with a private IP of 192.168.230.246?
