CCR 1036-12G-4S v.6.7 crashing

Fri Jan 24, 2014 8:03 pm

Hello,
For some unknown reason two of CCRs crashed (different locations, different ISP). What would be the best approach to troubleshoot? What logging I should turn on and save to disk? As the side note, I had Juniper SSG 5 running at those locations without problems for long time without "freezing".
Thank you.

I have exactly the same problem.

Did you resolve it?

Thanks.

No. So far I had total three crashes on two routers in 1 month since the installation. Though, I did put extra logging to be saved on disk. I hope this will help when I will have to pull the power plug again. Also, Wachdog is set on both CCRs to check the host connection. "Fingers cross"

I'm afraid of upgrading to 6.9 because of the reported problems with site to site IPSec.

And, its a bloody routine every morning at 7am to check if routers are live.

Y

ps -- 1 IPsec site to site tunnel, 5-8 pptp vpn, about 10 subnets, 10 simple queues, no more then 1000 clients total on each ccr -- CPU < 3%

Indeed. Never had any freezing/crashing problems with mipsbe boards...
