What is happening guys ?

Fri Jun 23, 2006 12:22 pm

We have one RB 232 Access point and one station . Problem that on access point signal appears on back side but not antenna side. According examples of Mikrotik all station must be direct to Access point . Our access point without direction each other not working.
How it will work if we will have any building between routers ? Where is trouble ? Why external antenna not working? I sent supout file to Mikrotik but I did't received required answer.
Please help .

In wireless configuration change the antenna-mode from ant-a to ant-b, or visa versa. Maybe you have the pigtail on the wireless card connected to AUX? Like proxy said above...

What type of wireless card are you using? I have noticed some types of card can only transmit from one antenna connector. Also check the pigtails as the Ufl connectors are very easy to accidentally damage.

I guess, R52 wireless card.
R52 wireless cards works fine.
Well, for antenna-mode=ant-a, you have to connect antenna pigtail to the inside connector (that is closer to the wireless card center), for antenna-mode=ant-b connect pigtail to another connector.
