Just use a soldering iron .... works better than mikrotiks poe out that is not working at all ...
We need to change the POE state of single ports remotely. This is (still) quite hard with a soldering iron
btw: Did you stumble upon any specific problems with the POE delivery of RB750UP boards?
@janisk: thank you for your quick reply!
unfortunately i cannot disclose any information regarding that.
Maybe there is a misunderstanding. I did not ask for code or internal implementation details. I would just like to know which peripheral is responsible for toggling the POE state.
Even openwrt users are your customers. Thus I cannot grasp the intention of your answer. Could you please explicate it?
Or maybe I just phrased my questions in a misleading way?
as a small workaround - install latest RouterOS, set to poe-out configuration, install os of your choice. At least PoE-out will work.
This would be an interesting one-time approach - but we need control in live systems. Thank you for your suggestion anyway.
cheers,
Lars
