japanese localization (device names show as boxes)

Wed May 14, 2014 4:24 am

hi

i'm thinking about the practicalities of doing a japanese localization, which doesn't seem to have been attempted yet

the menus seem to show up ok in utf-8, but device names don't appear to want to display as japanese characters, only as boxes

have i missed something?

further to the above, if anybody viewing this thread could tell me, i'd be very grateful:

is the name field for the device, as shown on a map, capable of displaying all utf-8 characters?

i'd like to know if anyone using any other non-roman alphabet has got this to work

thanks

Hello
nice meet you.
i make for Korean language file about 30%...
you must download base language files and then Convert to UTF-8
Link : http://download.mikrotik.com/dude/4.0be ... 0beta3.txt

and I upload a Korean Dude capture..
I have a same problem
And I want you to also support Japanese and Korean New Dude...
this opinion pass on MikroTik....
Please..

I run on ROS 6.37.4 and it works for short time.
When I restart system or reconnect with dude-client in 2 or 3 times, the uploaded font file is disappear again.
Does anyone have the solutions?
Thanks a lot!
