Intel PRO/1000 MT Chipset reboot problem?

Wed Jul 16, 2014 8:40 am

I have been experimenting with these Intel PRO/1000MT PCI cards and I found that if I unplug a card (link goes down) the router would reboot itself in 1-5 minutes. I thought it was some kind of watchdog, but even after turning that off, the same thing happens. I was able to reproduce it on 2 different PC's with a single port and a quad port card, so it is not the other components that are acting up. If I add other Ethernet cards to the same system, they don't reboot the system after having been unplugged, but the Intel ones keep doing it. This seems to effect all V6 installations, so not just the latest one.

Did anyone have a similar experience?

Yes i have experiences the same in intelPRO/1000MT PCI getting crc errors and after some time it is rebooting,
if i connect 1Gbps to the intel ether port it takes 100Mbps but not 1Gbps that to it takes Fore-able to work,

some times it connects 10Mbps, after rebooting it takes 100Mbps, in dual lan card,

any body can give me solution why it is happening, it may be drivers problem or ?
