I have upgraded my RB411 from 4.17 to 6.15 via winbox. something must have gone wrong, now i can't see th RB from winbox. i have tried to reset it as per mikrotik wiki but the RB does not respond to that. it does not complete the boot process (i don't hear the second beep) please help?

Use netinstall for recover your routerboard.

Yes Firewall disabled, running XP Pro SP3

Sometimes you must be waiting before you the icon see.

Try the netinstall procedure again.

First of all reset your routerboard with short this island whit a screwdriver while you're router board supplies see picture
Try netinstall again
Have you give your PC a static IP?

Hi, i have tried to reset like that 100 times. when i give power i hear the first beep and the lights go on. i do not hear the second beep.
it is now almost 12 hours later and netinstall still can't see the RB. Yes my PC's IP is static.

Try with serial console

winbox can't see it
hyper terminal can't see it
netinstall can't see it

Contact Mikrotik on support@mikrotik.com or bring the router board back to your seller
