ether1/2/3 configuration help!!

Wed Jul 26, 2006 1:43 am

Here's what I need to configure...

ether1 = my ISP uplink providing me with multiple public IP addresses
ether2 = my servers with public IP address
-203.114.146.186
-203.114.146.187
-203.114.146.188
-203.114.146.189
-203.114.146.190
ether3 = my other computers wanting DHCP server support
-Assigning static IPs 192.168.1.x
-Gateway of 192.168.1.100
-Public WAN IP address of 203.114.137.71

Now how the hell do I configure this? lol... sorry... newbie!

Other random info that may help..

Primary DNS Server: 203.114.128.1
Secondary DNS Server: 203.114.128.2
Public IP Address 1: 203.114.137.71
Public IP Address 1: 203.114.146.186
Public IP Address 1: 203.114.146.187
Public IP Address 1: 203.114.146.188
Public IP Address 1: 203.114.146.189
Public IP Address 1: 203.114.146.190

My ISP emailed me this regarding the 146.186 IPs:

Hi Adam,

I've allocated a new subnet to you:

203.114.146.184/29

I'd advise assgining the 185 IP to your Mikrotik, e.g.:

add interface=ether3 address=203.114.146.185/29

Then, just configure hosts plugged into ether3 to have an IP address between 186 and 190 (inclusive). Their gateway will be 203.114.146.185 .

To help you:
Network: 203.114.146.184
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.240
Broadcast: 203.114.146.191

Any problems just flick me a reply.

Cheers,
Dave

again, hello ADAM

don't make confuse, last week ago all correct structure you shown to me about IPs. i thing from now u can ask to your ISP about

- IP Address Range
- IP Gateway
- IP DNS
- IP or Host name for [SMTP], if you need

for make config your router just ONE public ip, and make more PRIVATE IPs and masquerade NAT it is must too. cause now your posting IP diference again, ask again to your ISP IP address must be you using,

one ethernet for PUBLIC interface and one ethernet [Local] for DYNAMIC and DHCP IPs is possible together.

i hope all success....
