Couldnt find this in the Manual (I have problems finding what I need)
What are the simple WebFig router types?
Like: CPE, Home AP, PTP Bridge, WISP AP.
Where can I find this info?

Don't feel silly, I'm new to MikroTik too, I'm also confused by the terms, been working on computers and networks for many years but haven't heard these terms, I'm looking for answers too.

• CPE - Short for "Customer Premises Equipment", this term is used to mean a "wireless station". It connects to a (wireless) network, like your computer would, but doesn't create its own (like an access point).
• Home AP - Simple access point. One SSID, no VLANs, etc.
• PTP Bridge - Used for setting up a "Point to Point" link. Tends to be used to extend a single network to another site that doesn't have a cable running to it.
• WISP AP - "Professional" access point ("WISP" is "Wireless Internet Service Provider", I think). It can serve multiple SSIDs at once, has VLAN support (to have each SSID be its own, isolated network, maybe with firewalling and routing between them), and other advanced things.

I think the setting only changes the "simple view"/main screen (and when you change it, some of the related network parameters). You can usually use features from other settings if you go to the specific settings pages. For instance, you can easily add a second SSID or VLANs from the "Interfaces" menu when the drop-down is set to "Home AP". Just not from the main screen.

Is there a basic tutorial somewhere on how to use the setting in winbox? Is it preferred
not to use the quick settings? Is it better to go to the individual settings?

I've locked myself out several times where I couldn't get back into the box, I've had to
hold the reset button down while booting to return to normal. Is there a way to save my
settings so when I do this, I can "import" all those settings I changed, so I don't have to
to back and set each one? For example, ssid, network password, static ip, country settings,
etc?

I'm still looking around the forum, hope to find more answers, but a tutorial would be nice.

hah, I've locked myself out too, trying to add too much security. I'm not sure how to back up the settings, but I saved my whole router's config so I didnt loose anything important. Hope you get your questions answered. Viva MikroTik!

There is safe button up left. If pressed, router should revert all actions made from pressing it when connection to winbox is lost.

I ONLY use WebFig and Putty. Is there any benefit to using WinBox?
I have a safe mode button in WebFig but that doesnt save the entire config.
I can copy my text version of my config, but I dont think that saves the entire config either.

I keep getting Internal Server Error and kicked out of the WebFig. Guess its a browser problem?

WinBox is much more convenient than using WebFig.

Isn't this another topic? You don't need to check the link, if it's not yours, you are paying for service. So just check the quality if it corresponds to the agreement and claim if not. Why to bother what is elsewhere? If both sides are yours then you should ask for access. And you should get it. Setting a new user with read only rights is done in few seconds. If they will not provide you such access to your property just take your device and go to elsewhere. Why you didn't agree on access before?
