8 port POE switch?

Fri Aug 22, 2014 1:42 am

Has Mikrotik any plans to make an 8 port PoE switch?

I'd love to see a Mikrotik equivalent of the ToughSwitch since the TS is limiting performance due to it's undersized buffers.

Euhm. Hello, this is a forum mainly for people enjoying Mikrotik products. Because Mikrotik cares some people of Mikrotik are actually regularly on this forum and actively read it and try to answer questions.

If you have a product request, please, just mail them directly? It's kind of rough to just open a topic and state your wishes and then a few days later bump it because they have not replied. It just doesn't work that way.

Also, there are several "product wish" topics on the forum already. If anything, put it in there.

Tune in to the US MUM product announcements on the live stream.

You may have noticed the newer CRS' s support up to 57 volt input and have solder pads for a 10 pin connector labeled PoE Out on the PCB. I wonder why these design decisions were made??? ;)

The CRS having 802.3af/at and LLDP would be so perfect for enterprise branch deployments.
