Also, if this is a known hardware problem it would be nice to know which series of the device have been effected. Maybe in a per date frame list?
I for instance have one from the first batch that was released but am not using it currently (It's for me new house which is being built). I don't want to discover I have a model which suffers this defect after the warranty has expired.
And I understand sharing this information or maybe even setting up a replacement program is a costly affair for Routerboard/Mikrotik, but having your customers not trust their devices is potentially a much bigger hit for the company... If buyers know you take actions to resolve an unfortunate hardware error, no confidence would be lost.
Pro-active is always better then reactive in these kind of situations.
Of course, if it only affects 1 in 1000 devices, all this won't be necessary! Let's hope that is the case.
