i reset my mikrotik RB 951-2n after a configuration and tried rebooting and now the mikrotik board does not show in winbox anymore...i have tried everything i know...resetting before i plug the power adapter into the board...i have tried resetting from the board with a metal device still no show.....the power light comes on but the activity lights comes on for a while and then goes off.....wat do i do....

Hello, have you disabled the firewall on your pc?

Manually type in the main MAC address of the routerboard into the connect as box either as only long alphanumeric string or with ":" separating each block of 2 characters.

The Login will be "admin", no password is required

You sure for hard reset. Bridging with a metal piece the reset circle on board, you must hear lot of short beeps. It mean that board is on factory defaults config, and you must access with 192.168.88.1.
If your pc is on this subnet, better.

Don't use ether1 to connected with your PC

Use ether2 to ...

click the "..." button right next to the address input in winbox and wait for a while. You will than get a list of routerOS devices within searching distance. You will have the option of using IP or MAC. to use MAC simply select the MAC portion instead of IP.
