router was rebooted without proper shutdown - RB1100

Wed Oct 15, 2014 4:08 am

Hi,

My RB1100AHx2 reboots itself every two hours. I get thi on the log:

Oct/14/2014 13:57:02 system, error, critical router was rebooted without proper shutdown

I have emailed support the supout file, they first said it was a DCHP pool problem, so I deleted them, and then said that I should either connect a serial cable or call RMA.

Has anyone had this problem? It suddenly did not happen Fri-Sat-Sun-Mon, and happened this afternoon 4 times.

I also get blank spaces on the graphs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
Luciano

Graphs are normally lost on random manner. You can try to netinstall. It can help with other problems.

What is your power supply output? I have experienced this because the power supply was not strong enough even though it was the one supplied with the unit. I suggest a 24v power supply as a quick troubleshooting step.

Yes, it seemes it wasan electrical problem.

I had two 12v-batteries connected directly, and it seems the were ruined. Replaced them with new ones, and the problem went away.

Hope it helps!
