Hello, I am new here and came to ask a stupid question.
I simply do not know whether my new unit is to be RMA or is that normal:
Yesterday I did purchase RB260GSP, and there was firmware 1.12 in it, working ok.
I experienced power drops each few minutes trying to use PoE, so went upgrading firmware.
Well, Rb went dead right after clicking Upgrade (RED light for port 2 and 3 blink shortly, then everything go dark).
Well, I setup bootp/tftp server and hold the button, it did load a file, but no success..
Then I managed to download 1.12, 1.13 and finally 1.11 firmwares from mikrotik site (just edit filename in adress..).
Version 1.12 do load (either from tftp as a rescue, either after device gets alive using web Upgrade).
NONE of versions 1.11 (just an attempt..), 1,13 or 1,14 do work.
Device is dead with each other than 1.12 - regardless of whether firmware was submitted using tftp or web.
Well, now I still own rb260gsp ver 1.12, working as a normal (non-PoE) switch, but having troubles with PoE,
and suspect it is somehow damaged as I can not upgrade firmware... I read that other users do use 1.14..
I tried to download file more times and compare to see whether it is not damaged by download, but files do equal.
BTW, could someone post MD5 checksum of the file 1.14 to be sure?
Is that NORMAL, and did anyone experience the same? I did searched a lot but found no such note.
Or, should i return it as RMA? I will get another one from the same seller and batch, will it help or not??
