Hallo Hammy,
Seems a bit excessive for a standard home router
But we must not take and use a USB stick modem that is not proper
working or only working for hours. And a second WLAN card can be
inserted for any WLAN standard and chip set that is supported in RouterOS.
RB2011 most peoples where talking about a changeable WiFi solution
Here all this things are given
RB951 most peoples where asking for a proper and long time running modem
Here are all the things are given
And all future WiFi standards such as "ac" can be added also by a miniPCI card
In my opinion better paying at first more and then fill not the forum what is
not going and marching or smooth running.
Would be great to see something on top like mSATA support for 40,80 and
120 GB mSATA disks for having a "NAS Router" or a huge log file storage.
Such a device as the RB953 with sufficent RAM soldered on board would be
a long time running device and in my opinion this is really cheap.
As an example:
You pay 300 € all in all and the RB953 is running 5 years
5 years x 12 month = 60 month
300 € : 60 month = 5 € for each month
5 € monthly : ~30 days = ~17 cent a day!
And by the given capabilities of this board, for around ~17 cent
for each day we don´t talk about a really cheap device, in my eyes!
