High jitter on short indoor link

Fri Dec 26, 2014 3:42 am

Hi,

I hope somebody can help me.
I have a RB 2011UAS-2HnD which is serving 3 different 802.11 networks and serves a WDS station, all over the same radio. On that WDS station is a SXT G-2HnD connected as WDS client. Connected to the SXT is only one device via the ethernet port. In the other 802.11 networks I have at the moment only one Notebook and one Phone.
The distance between both routers is around 10m with two 50cm solid brick walls.
RX and TX rates are, when using n, above 200Mbit/s, the rtt is going up and down between 2ms and 500ms. The jitter is getting even worse with some bandwidth on the link. I already tried switching to nstream, set multicast to full, tried only b, only g, only n, b+g, played around with the various channel widths, but nothing helps.
Signal To Noise is between 90 db and 100 db and the noise floor is at -105db.
For my usage scenario I need a link with a constant latency < 20ms and a jitter < 5ms, but only around 5Mbit bandwith. Anybody any suggestions what I could try? Do you think this is possible at all?

Thanks

Hi
try limiting you bandwidth or reduce TX power , it seems signal is too strong
