Multiple Subnets

Sat Jan 03, 2015 10:19 pm

Hi Guys,

Can you please help me with this configuration?

I am not a master in configuring routers but i usually read a lot of documentation before doing something.

I have this Mikrotik router and tried (without success ) to configure it like this:

4 separate subnets :
192.168.10.0/24 - PRV, (private with sensitive stuff and priority lower than CORP and Guest)
192.168.12.0/24 - Guest, (isolated for guestes with priority in traffic but lower than CORP)
192.168.13.0/24 - CORP, (to have priority in trafic and isolated)
192.168.14.0/24 - VPN (for ovpn users to have access to prv)

1. Guest only access internet
2. CORP only have access to internet
3. VPN have access to PRV as well.

I must mention that the internet connection is made over pppoe with user and password to my ISP.

Can you please give me some advices in order to achieve few if not all of my goals?

Thanks in advance,

Maybe if you give us some more information?

How are these subnets connecting? Wireless, wired, tunnels?
You said you tried to configure it. What about posting your configuration?

IMHO, do it step by step. First set up one single subnet, after getting it working, add another...
I would start with guest and work up from there.

I have an 2011UiAS-2HnD as main router with pppoe connection to my ISP. beside that i have an SXT G-2HnD and OmniTIK UPA-5HnD.

The idea behind the subnets would be, wired depending on MACs, wifi on what SID you chose to connect.
I must mention that i am using CAPsMAN.

The router also have an OVPN server configured with static IPs for few users.

Hope it helps.

Thanks in advance,
