Having POE out on an 8 port Gigabit switch/router with WiFi and no 10Gbps uplink capability does not make too much sense to me.
I would much rather see they would introduce an 8 or 12 port switch (CRS) with SFP+ to be able to uplink it with 2x10Gbit (Cheap DAC cables stack). That way we could feed our Camera's, Access-Points, small end switches and Phones in homes and small business installations. Now a days with AC capable routers a switch with multiple devices connected to it needs more then a 1Gbps uplink.
That said, to support the most broad range of equipment it would need to support 12v, 24v and 48v POE and passive mode. Not a small thing to get right, but if Routerboard does, it will be a sure seller. Currently we need to use Ubiquiti devices to most of this.
