I've ROS Reset an RB433AH to remove Jimojo software. Now what?

Hi Everyone,

I had to ROS Reset a RB433AH device today to remove the Jimojo Hotpspot software. Now I need to set it back up to use the Mikrotik Hotspot system and WDS it to the other wireless devices in the complex.

Can someone recommend where to find guides or comprehensive info on:
- Configuring the basics for the device?
- Setting up the wlan, eth2 and eth3 interfaces to provide DHCP to clients?
- Setting up eth1 to receive the WAN/Internet connection?

I've been referring to the wiki, but it's unclear where to start and is a little hard to properly navigate as a new user.

Look forward to learning more about the Mikrotik systems!

Hi Alone,

This is the first page to read:
http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:First_time_startup

Next one is this one:
http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:In ... figuration

Then, you have to choose how you will configure your RouterOS:
- command line (serial console, telnet, SSH, mac-telnet)
- Webfig
- Winbox

If you don’t know, choose Winbox as you’ll be able to connect to your RouterBOARD if you dont know its IP address (or if it doesn’t have one) using its MAC address.
You can download Winbox from here:
http://download2.mikrotik.com/routeros/ ... winbox.exe

Thanks seb4tik! I had gone through the first link but had not seen the initial configuration guide yet. Will take a look at it and hit back with any questions :)
