"BUG" The Dude

Wed Mar 18, 2015 2:18 pm

Good morning, I use The Dude v4beta3 and this catches your monitoring after a few days running, leaving all devices on orange alert, it keeps dripping but does not collect more data from active ports and services on the devices. I use The Dude to several years, but never managed to find something to why this happens, what I noticed is that the more devices inserted this is a problem faster. There is solution !? Has anyone noticed this "bug" and know how to solve? I use it in Windows Server 2008. Thank you.

Never noticed such a problem. I have around 200 devices in my Dude. Using it in Linux under wine.

We automatically restart the dude service once a day and backup the Server (also 2008 R2) in this time to avoid this Situation.

But sometimes the dude service creates anyway nearley 100% CPU in one core. For that case we have no solution except to stop and restart the dude service manually.

Our problems are the same. To resolve I do exactly what you guys commented, but wanted to find a solution to this.

I've seen that on WIndows 7 as well

Also it seems services on locally connected devices go up and down quite a bit during the day and takes awhile to come back up. I think that is totally Dude related
