[Solved] OpenVPN Speed.

Thu Apr 09, 2015 1:01 am

Hi,

I created openvpn from RB2011 to RB2011. I can get 8-10mbps using bandwidth test. But when I transfer files from windows to windows, the max speed I can get is around 2Mbps. Any idea? Thanks.

I have a similar problem using pptp and connecting windows vpn clients.
Even though I have 5Mbps of upload speed on the mikrotik internet link, the vpn user side just reach 2Mbps of download.
Wondering what wrong should I be doing?

After going through all the settings slowly, I solved the problem by disabling a simple queue created by some previous guy. :)

The queue was shaping the traffic? Or what it did?

Yes, the simple queue was doing traffic shaping.
