I've spent Thursday, Friday and most of this morning on the phone looking for a Draytek Vigor 130 VDSL modem. We recently upgraded our speed in rural Oregon...CenturyLink ran fiber to our neighborhood DSLAM...and no mention was made that they were going to be using VDSL. So my two year old Vigor 120 is now useless...since it doesn't support VDSL.
Best case right now is getting one here by April 23rd. Big shout out to Daniel Rowe of data-connect.com for being about the only supplier I can find out there willing to help...I ordered my 120 from them a couple of years ago.
Two questions: any alternatives to the Vigor 130? Daniel suggested the Planet VC-231...but it doesn't have an internal web page with line statistics so I can call Century Link and tell them exactly where the issue is and cut through the BS and get the issue fixed. That and nothing in their documentation suggestes PPPoA passthrough.
Anyone know anyone with a Vigor 130 in stock?
Lastly a shout out to Mikrotik to either make DSL modems or incorporate them into their routers.
Thanks!
