Mikrotik User Manger Not Working At All After Proper Config.

Sun Apr 12, 2015 7:40 am

Hello there!

I have tried every bit of configuration properly as per the MT instructions from all over the wiki forum and from other online resources also, but user manager is not working at all.

I have setup a hotspot and user manager in newly purchased RB2011UiAS-RM (6.27). Both on the same router. When hotspot user login without activating RADIUS on hotspot it gets login without any problem and works well. But when i activate RADIUS option on hotspot to configure and connect with user manager user unable to login. I don't know after proper configuration with double check where is the problem between RADIUS and User Manager setup.

Attached are the screenshots of my config for this to be reviewed by you. I hope a MT expert will assist me to fix this strange MT config. issue at its best to get this work.

Thank you.

Hi paams,

Normally you need to config your Mikrotik work correct with Hotspot on ROS. It need to check your setting on IP->Address, IP->Pool, IP->DHCP Server, IP->Firewall, IP->Route and IP->HotSpot.

I saw in your first screenshot for Host in HotSpot that your client connected to Router with "D" (Dynamic) in first column. For mine client will show "H" (DHCP) when connected to HotSpot and after login success it will show "AH" (A-Authorize H-DHCP).

After every thing work find with user from HotSpot Router then you can add RADIUS and both user on HotSpot or Radius can login and you can see user with radius will show "R" (Radius) in first column and blank for HotSpot user.
