Hello,
we're facing a strange problem with EoIP tunnels across our Network.
This is the current situation in this part of our Network (simplified):
There is a EoIP Tunnel between "CCR1009 #1" and "CCR1009 #2" and all Routers are running OSPF. The standard path between the two EoIP Endpoints is via the "CCR1016" and the backup path is via "Cisco Router #2".
On the standard path, the tunnel runs fine if only small packets cross the tunnel. But as soon as larger packets need to cross the tunnel the tcp connection stops after a few seconds.
On the backup path everything runs fine.
If I establish the EoIP tunnel between "CCR1016" and "CCR1009 #1" and use a VLAN between "CCR1016" and "CCR1009 #2" it also runs fine. So the problem seems to be between "CCR1016 and "CCR1009 #2".
So we decided to change the radio link between these two routers, but with no success. The MTU on the radio link is 1600 bytes. (On the backup path only 1500 bytes!!)
ROS versions:
CCR 1009 #1: 6.28
CCR 1009 #2: 6.27
CCR 1016: 6.28
Currently we run the EoIP tunnel over a PPTP connection. This way it works over both paths.
If someone has an idea what could cause this, please let me know. I'm out of ideas....
Many thanks,
Mat
