CCR with two providers to data center ccr - dual gre tunnels

Sat Jun 20, 2015 12:53 am

Has anyone tried this config yet:

ccr1032 with ether1/ether2 dhcp connections with ether1 and ether2 having its own gre tunnel to a remote location. In this case i have a ccr1016 with ether1 connected to a data center network.

What I have accomplished with ether1/ether2 are set for performance and fail-over routing.

Now I am trying to build in redundant gre tunnels to the remote site forced over ether1 and ether2 separately. This will let me build performance routes to the remote network and fail over if needed.

In the gre tunnel configuration i have specified the src and dst ip addresses as that seems logical to me. The data center side has two ip addresses which can be used if needed.

So far i have also tested the new rc build of 6.30rc19/20/22 and have managed to create an l2tp session to the data center. i am using the new feature of ip-sec on the dialer. This also seems to redial from the backup connection during a simulated failure. While this does not allow active/active it does fail the dead route and redial with a low l2tp keep-alive of 3. The only issue i have run into so far is a fail-over and back. I may use a script.
