I have installed Routeros 5.20 on Virtual server (Esxi 5.x with good hardware). Problem is that CPU utilization is high most of the time, at night it shoots upto 90-100 % with only 50-60 pppoe sessions. No extra firewall or heavy rules are apllied, just a plain setup. When I check the same settings with standalone mikrotik server, or on rb450, there is no high cpu usage.

When I check in Tools/ Profiles, ETHERNET takes most of the CPU.

I have tried various tricks, but no use

# Changed Ethernet brands like Broadcom, Intel
# Changed interface settings in Virtual server to E1000 or others.
# Changed enabling/disabling multi cpu settings
but no use, CPU still goes high with ethernet.

Can anyone give me some tips or do some one else faces the same issue of high cpu utilization related to ethernet (in profile)?
