Hi Mikrotik,
what about L2TPv3 support?
http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc3931
I am operating myself a couple of smaller wireless city networks. There are several well positioned antennas within the city, customers link up to. The antennas themselves connected back to a central location, mostly over wireless links. To separate customer traffic, I use a PPPoE server at the moment. It maps the devices belonging to one customer into the same virtual network (vlan).
I thought of using MPLS in the "backbone" having an MPLS VPN per customer, but I deemed it to complex. I would rather try out L2TPv3 on your sleek devices. It seems to be more reasonable from the config side. And it can transport everything over IP(v6), eliminating the need for complex label distribution.
Do you have L2TPv3 support as an alternative to MPLS on your roadmap yet?
