Problem with Huawei E3372 4G modem on RB2011uias-2hnd-in

Fri Nov 14, 2014 5:12 pm

Hello,
Recently i bought LMT 4G modem Huawei E3372 with SIM PLAY. With PC it works without any problems but with mikrotik RouterBOARD
RB2011uias-2hnd-in it has problems.

So what happens

After inserting E3372 4G modem in mikrotik usb jack, mikrotik creates LTE interface, after setting DHCP client 4G modem starts up (still blue LED) and it shows that it is connected/active.

When I download any file modem disconnects, the same happens when I do speed test. I have a very good range of 5/5

I have the same problem with 951G-2HnD (6.31) and E3372-153 - under stress it disconnects and the LTE router interface (hilink www) is not accessible, does not reconnect (at least in 20 minutes) - USB power reset helps and its working in 15 seconds or less.

I have the same problem with RB912UAG-2HPnD (Ros 6.32.2, FW 3.24) + Huawei E3372H-153 (HiLink mode, vid: 0x12d1, pid: 0x14dc).
External USB hub, another firmware (for E3372) - not resolve problem...

Update: in "stick" mode - same problem... On PC (Mac & Win) - this modem works without any problem in both (stick & hilink) modes.

Up!

This issue persists on different E3372 modems (in stick and hilink modes) and different RB912UAG-2HPnD boards (ROS 6.34.3), but only when connected to Lte via WiFi. When connected via Ethernet, the modem is operating properly. Any combinations with different USB cables with external power does not solve the problem.

Technical support! Please do not ignore the problem: this modem (Huawei E3372) is present in the list of supported LTE modems but does not work!
