I am running version 6.33
I would like some advice please.
I have mangle rules and use queue tree to limit videos large http xbox connection bytes etct etc.
Can I also add simple queues for each client to limit the total bandwidth and then have the queue tree doing its thing.
Or would i need two routers one for queues tree and another for maximum speed?

Example... simple queue client A max speed 10Mbps then if watching youtube queue tree will limit to 3Mbps
Example... simple queue client B max speed 5Mbps then if watching youtube queue tree will limit to 3Mbps

Do simple queues mangel rules and queue tree work together this way or will everything get mixed up?

yes you can on the same router, according to packet flow simple queue are applied after queue tree

for example, I have a configuration like this (resume)

Queue tree
For all customer

Max download
youtube: 5 Mbps download
Web: 10 Mbps Max download PCQ
p2p 256k max download PCQ
other not matching previously 5 Mbps

And after I have simple queue for each one, with different times of the day

Customer 1 Morning 00:00 - 06:59 3 Mbps down
Customer 1 day: 7:00 - 14:49 2 Mbps down
Customer 1 peak: 15:00 - 22:59 1.5 Mbps down
Customer 1 night 23:00:23:59 2 Mbps

I repeat this for each customer IP (7 customers)

With this, for example, each customer can download 3 Mbps in the morning, but together, they can't download from youtube more than 5 Mbps..

The rules are working together...

Be aware of lot of CPU usage! Simple queues not necessary if you use right Queue tree rules! Its not the right method anymore to limit user by Mbps! Better is to QoS with mangle and queue tree rules to use traffic in right dirrection, but if bandwidth is open - let them use! my opinion!
