Wireless network

Wed Oct 11, 2006 5:13 pm

Is this possible:

A base station can have more then two antennas? One omni and serveral flat, one of them with integrate RB112. The flat ones will conect to other base stations and make the backbone.

Can i only use base stations to establish a network? I´m establish a network only for laptops, PDA and cellphones access.

you can only connect 2 radios to the RB112's (2 x miniPCI) unless you are using Ubiquiti SRx cards. Then you can only use one due to the power draw. So it sounds like you'll need multiple 112 boards.

you can connect one antenna per wireless card. unless you use NStreme2 where 2 antennas per card will be needed.

Router and Antennas

Tx for all your help. It was very helpfull.

If I get RB/KAO package, RB532 with only one miniPCI, can I introduce more one miniPCI and connect another antenna? How can I do that?

If I get only the RB532, RB502 and 4 miniPCI and connect 4 antennas. What is the software I´ll need? What box is the best choice to a outdoor implantacion?
