Started in RouterBOOT?

Mon Feb 29, 2016 8:18 pm

Hello,

We had two power outages this weekend. I had a CRS125 lose power, and when I came in today, I found it wasn't switching. Connect the serial port cable to my PC (we leave it plugged into the switch, as it comes down 20 feet from the ceiling, but the other end is normally disconnected), and it's in RouterBOOT. Tell it to restart and it's working again. The CRS is powered over Ethernet. What could have gotten it into this state, instead of going directly to operation?

Thanks!

James

It may be that noise is being picked by the serial cable, "simulating" a key press, and thus stopping the boot sequence.

Try this: go to System > RouterBoard [Settings] and change Enter Setup On to delete key instead of any key

Does it boot fine now with the computer end of the serial cable disconnected?
