Hello,
I have upgraded two NetMetal5 devices to the latest bug fix version (6.32.4) and I lost ethernet link on both of them. Luckly they are in my desk and not in the tower and this happend during my normal version test routine.
Checking the changelog for the "Current" version I can read:
What's new in 6.33.3 (2015-Dec-03 16:08):
*) ethernet - fixed 10/100Mbps auto-negotiation fails on RB922UAGS ether1 (introduced in v6.33.2)
I have some NetMetal5 devices running flawlessly with v 6.32.3, so I think somehow, in the process of compiling v6.32.4 the negotiation problem solved in the current branch made it to the "bug fix" branch, ironically introducing that bug into the "bug fix" version….
Has anyone seen this too?
Thanks
EDIT: with 6.33.2 it does not negotiate properly, but it does ok with 6.33.3... Now I'm almost sure there has been a regresion when developing 6.32.4 "bug fix"
