My sxt lite 5 was unable to connect to ap.when I go to connect to ap with proper configuration it shows searching network. But we have several connection with same device and same configuration applied but the r all connected in same ap but my sxt lite 5 was to able to connect access point.
I am bit first rated for that .
Is that software problem or hardware problem? Lite cal technicians says device dead.but router is working . pls need help.
I am ready give remote access my PC if anyone interest to solve my problem? Pls... Pls.. Pls...

Hi,
are you able to connect with Winbox ? if yes of course your device is not dead , what is you ap ?? send your SXT configuration here , it's better to giving a remote access to your pc
you should know that Mikrotik has its own wireless protocol like nv2 and nstreme which may be not supported by a non Mikrotik device

Yes of course it was connected through win box and the ap is omnitik 5 uhnd another ap is base box 5 with ubnt omni 5 antenna.
Of course I will give you everything detail as I don't know more abt configuration and even my provider.
So sir I need your full support .for last 4 days I just sleepless.

Send your wlan configuration and your device log , be cool and take it easy , all IT fields are complex and don't put yourself under pressure to solve them immediately !! get rest and sleep ,

In India u know we r live in tiny village and for education internet is now too important now but we don't have much connectivity still we r developed in this segment and we r encourage our student in my local area to adopt as we don't have wire connection as of now so need to depend lot on wireless.
And truth is I buy this device which is used by someone and go to implement .get first shock when provider unable to connect to his ap and told me the device wireless card is fault .
But devices able to all available frequency shows in routeros and device is connect through winbox. But unable to lock with ap.
Sir its my hearty request I not trust my provider as they not so much inexperienced abt MikroTik. So pls help me.

As i checked your router via teamviewer , there are 2 possibilities :
1- you have not a valid password.
2-your AP rejecting you because of access-list - your wlan1 MAC address should be exists on your AP access-list , and this task should be done by your provider , what a provider ....!!!
anyway your device is not dead and it's working fine , may be they are joking with you

Sometime AP is configured with an encryption like AES and other encrypting methods which you have to got a valid password which your AP owner will give you , otherwise authentication failed will occurred as this happening to you
and sometimes AP doesn't use any encryption method , it's like an open Wifi !! but it's not , access-list could be running on AP that accept specific MAC addresses which has been added by AP owner

my provider told just now without handling my device that he can guearentee me the device have fault and told me he have lot ofknowledge abt it ok shayan.
and set a example that he have 21 more sxt lite 5 device all r connect to his ap and all r applied same configuration they r all work smmoth and he told me that the same configuration also aplied in my device but it was not able to connect to his ap. he ask me what is the reason for that ?
and more is access list adding mac of client device in ap access list he is laughing on me and told ok he was agree to your suggestion , but run other21 device witout doing so ? he make question to u

i really don't understand what is going on with your provider , your device is ok and able to scan and list free frequencies , so the wireless card is ok , it's all about authentication failed , you can check your log and see the error , if your device or wireless card are dead how can you connect to your device, scan and find many APs ?

my provider told me its aproblem which not related to wireless card and even he not ready to post any screenshoot of his ap configuration. brother i am just fade up.

My ISP try to make my device server ap that was not able to do this.defiantly he told me network ic problem. Do u have any idea
Are you sure that the Ap is mikrotik device? If not, you cannot use station bridge mode. Check your values correspond to what you have got from isp. Enable wireless debug logging and check what is recorded during connection process. Better to do the same logging on Ap side too. Reset the wireless settings and try again.

i checked his SXT via teamviewer , his getting authentication failed error,password is wrong or AP's access list rejecting his device , i don't know what kind of provider they are !!

From the MAC with the strongest signal it looks like mikrotik. I don't understand why would a provider connect clients in bridge mode...

Bro yesterday i going to check my device some help of MikroTik specialist and he detect that device tx rate is some how down. And they told it will not work more for that reason we r unable to do.manually he increased the tx pwr that also not work.if u guy's have some idea pls .

Dear sir, I read your posts and I guess your ISP is right because I myself have a small community isp and I have had this problem quite a few times.
the clients are mikrotik sxt lite 5 and for no reason on a good weather day I got a drop in connection so I went onsite to see. i could not connect to the main ap no matter what I did. i just swaped thecpe with a new one and did the same config "in a second " and connected straight away.
So I took the defected unit to the office and was not sure why it was not connecting.
I opened a new AP and simulated all possible types of scenarios to connect to the including upgrading downgrading stable longterm firmware ... many configs but it would not connect where as a new ap at the office same config connected in a second..
very weird cpe seems all fine but would not connect then it has to be a partial hardware failure.

You r right bro, its all over I had already set a new Mikrotik sxt lite5 and solve my problem, now its running without any glitch.
