VirtualAP an performance?

Hi, i want to create about 10 VAPs on one interface will it affect performance (speed) of that interface??

I have created an AP that has 4 VAPs on on interface. I have not noticed any major difference between connecting the directly the main AP or through a VAP. In one case I actually had a increase in performance but this was due to being able to bypass alot of rules that didn't need to be applied and not due to the technical/hardware aspects of VAPs.

It is the same as 10 physical access points operating on the frequency channel.
