Customer and Asset Tracking???

Wed Oct 25, 2006 6:22 am

Does anyone here know of any applications (database driven) that I could keep track of my customers. I would like to keep track of their name/address etc... as well as info about their account such as IP address/MAC address etc... I am looking at editing cwISPy to do something like this, but I was wondering if possibly there was already a solution out there. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

And I know this topic is not relevant to Mikrotik. (sorry in advance) However I thought with a forum of such "gifted" individuals :D (Mostly ISP's or WISPS). Someone must use some types of software for keeping track of their operation. We are only at 450 customers, and the demand for a good database is growing ever more important. So again, sorry in advance, hope to get some good feedback.

P.S. Please keep the suggestions based on a typical ISP or WISP layout. I have no need for hotspot software.

I see this is an old post, but in case someone stumbles on to it. I've been tackling this one for ages!!

I'm about to request more custom fields in the dude and setup non-polling devices as a type of asset register.. Although, going to look into it more first.

we have used openAudit which was quite good for license tracking and hardware tracking.
we use vTiger for CRM. It's pretty good, but lacks asset tracking, so we use custom fields within VT to do IP's, users configuration and trouble tickets. It's developing at a pace. I'd keep my eye on those two.
