RB260GS and DHCP client issues

Mon May 30, 2016 11:24 am

So I have the RB260gs serving as an access switch for a room. Port 1 is the trunk link to the Core/Dist switch, Port 2 serves a single device on VLAN10, Port 3-4 serve two guest APs on VLAN30 and Port5 serves a crestron processor on VLAN20.

When my laptop directly connects to any of the ports (2-5) it sends a DHCP request and gets an IP back. When I plug an AP into the switch (Airport Express or RB951G-2HnD) they dont get a DHCP IP, nor do they forward one to any clients attached via wifi BUT the Airport Express DOES forward DHCP requests and replies to my laptop when connected to its LAN port.

Below is the GUI config of the switch vlans. any help you can give is greatly appreciated

You did not show what's on the VLAN tab which is part of the puzzle, but you don't have the VLANs tab set right.  Take a look at this:

I set mine up a couple weeks ago and am for the most part, doing exactly this, and it worked perfectly by following these directions.
