Possible Bug?

Fri Jun 10, 2016 10:51 pm

Issue:Interface in addresses keeps changing

Description:
Pretty sure I found a bug, though I don't know if it's just my unit or what. On my CRS125 I have my uplink on ether 1, ether 2 empty, and then rest plugged in. I have different subnets on ether 3, 4, 5. For some reason, if I make a change (seems to happen 100% of the time if I change my static IP from quickset menu), reboot the router, or restore a backup file, in addresses, my ether 5 interface will automatically change itself to ether 2. This has caused me sooooo much headache looking for such a stupid little thing. This doesn't happen 100% of the time (except from quickset scenario). Maybe 20%? I'm not sure exactly which of the things I stated causes it either, because while having the issue I kept doing all of them in quick succession.
Versions affected:
6.27 and current as far as I know

How to reproduce:
1. Uplink on ether 1, ether 2 empty, different subnets on ether 3, 4, 5.

2. Configure ether 1 via Quick Set
3. Change static IP
4. In IP Addresses watch to make sure your interfaces don’t change. (Mine always changes 5 for some reason)

Notes:
I can provide a backup file if necessary
