Mikrotik RB750. How to organize the interfaces to all the work?

Thu Jun 23, 2016 10:09 am

Hello!
I have mikrotik 750 who want to put a gateway to the Internet.
It is necessary to organize such a network. There is:
I have link from internet provider. 2 internet ip addresses from internet provider. One ip will be used for user access to the Internet through mikrotik (normal NAT), the other is tied to Asterisk. Asterisk has a internet ip.
Mikrotik has 5 network interfaces. How it is better to distribute such a scheme work?
I thought over the decision. If the interface from the provider to assign ip and do NAT from the local network as then connect asterisk? Asterisk has internet ip. And he does not need NAT.

if i understand you correctly, you have given two public IP from your ISP, 1 for your internet access (NAT) and the other one for your Asterisk server.

You can create a bridge, add port 1&2 into the bridge, so port 1 to your ISP and port 2 to your asterisk server. assign NAT public ip to the bridge interface and you can assign the other public directly on your asterisk server.

Yes . You are correctly understand.
Thank you!
I forgot to write. Asterisk has 2 interfaces. One Internet, the other to the local network. First interface I connect to mikrotik. Can I connect second interface to switch in local network? The same switch is connected to mikrotik to connect the LAN to the Internet
