Establishing a remote connection to Mikrotiks

Wed Sep 14, 2016 6:29 pm

Hi,

I am having an issue remotely accessing our Mikrotik boxes due to an hardware failure of a 750GL in our office that was handling all 10.200.x traffic (we assign this range to the mikrotiks) redirecting the requests to our centralised RouterOS server that holds active VPN connections to all other mikrotiks.

In our office we could ping these boxes as we had a router rule that directed all traffic on the 10.200 range straight to the 750GL, the 750GL is definitely receiving this traffic, the problem i now have is that i dont know what sort of rules i would need to "forward" this traffic on in a way that worked existingly, unfortunately it appears previous employees havent made back ups of this box and im now trying to get the same functionality working.

I am by no means an networking expert but i do have access to the centralised server that holds the VPN connections that it was originally forwarding the traffic to, so i may be able to "reverse" engineer what it was doing existingly but i need pointing in the right direction.

I believe the 750GL *may* of had a VPN connection to the master server that it was piping all of the traffic through, but im not 100% sure

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
