ping RTT on a CCR1036 in BRAS mode (PPPoE server)

Mon Sep 19, 2016 4:00 pm

Hello!

Here is an interesting statistics on a CCR1036 working as a BRAS (PPPoE server). See the picture:

As you see, ping RTT grows over time and resets on reboot. It may be some kind of a resource leak.

Is this the ping time between the monitoring system and the bras?

Two other CCR1036 show similar pictures:

But two another don't:

The only difference I see now is that ccr0, ccr1 and ccr2 have a DHCP server enabled and ccr3-4 don't. So probably it is not PPPoE server that creates the RTT growth.

Here are corresponding memory usage graphs. Old routeros versions have had a memory leak, but newer ones are not so clear.
