Dhcp server and eoip

Sun Nov 19, 2006 3:23 pm

hello
i have a interface named wlan1, works in ap-bridge(ip 10.0.0.1) mode in 2.4GHz, and 3 clients... i want also connect to second MT - so i made the Virtual Ap interface... (ip 192.168.1.1) and eoip tunnel - pluged into bridge interface... on second MT station i have the wlan2 interface (ip10.0.0.3) - it works ok, i can ping every client in network, but two days ago i I have decided to turn on the DHCP server(dhcp-pool 10.0.0.10 -10.0.0.50) on wlan1 interface, and i have trouble... the dhcp server shows as invalid... i can't get address from it... I don't know what is wrong...
When I remove Virtual AP, eoip and bridge and restart dhcp-server it works ok....
(mt 2.9.27)
Can Anyone help me ????

Thanks..

DHCP server will not run on the bridged interface, you need to set interface=bridge as DHCP-server interface.

so set DHCpserver on brigde1 interface (include: wlan1 and eoip-tunnel1) but now I still can't get address from MT... I tried to connect second MT as dhcp-client but it not works.. I don't know what i did wrong..
whatever - dhcp-server works (isn't show as invalid)

what now ??????

Make sure you have correctly configured EoIP tunnel between two routers and included all required interface to bridge. Make sure firewall does not drop required traffic between client and server.
As well you can try to get address DHCP using local network PC.

DHCP server should work fine over EoIP tunnel.
