Multiple links between 2 devices

Thu Nov 16, 2006 2:33 pm

Hi, I have two routerboards connected with 2 wds links (one is backup).
Network and backup works fine.

I would like to monitor both wds links between this two routerboards, but I can create only one link between two devices.

So, how can I monitor both wds links ?

You can't create two links between devices. As a work-around you could create the secondary link to a 'network-cloud', so that at least you can monitor the link (although the map will not precisely 'copy' reality this way).

Good idea.

But soon as one of wds links got disconnected, dude will start to monitor some other interface in that designated link.
Even if my wds come back, dude will not monitor it again by himself...

is there any way to workarround for this ?

Are you using static WDS or dynamic? Make sure that you are using static as I believe that will make the IfIndex ID consistant.
